Project in the spotlight: Rabotvins
Rabotvins chooses Willy Naessens Industrial Buildings as construction partner for new site.
Architectural firm: Wim Embo
Surface area: 13,000 m²
Rabotvins is Ghent's largest wine distributor and only purveyor to the royal household. The company was founded in 1938 in Rabotstraat by Emile De Schepper. Rabotvins is leaving its familiar spot at Vogelenzang in Ghent and is exchanging it for new premises in the De Prijkels expansion zone in Nazareth. Willy Naessens Industrial Buildings was chosen to build the new premises.
The new site has a surface area of 13,000 m². The site in Nazareth will include a large storage area, functional offices, a tasting room and parking facilities with loading and unloading zone. The large storage place will feature a high stack warehouse as well as a warehouse adapted for the storage of exclusive wines. In addition, a completely new bottling plant and production hall will also be built.
