New acquisition!

Friday 10 January 2025 it was announced that Willy Naessens Group has signed an agreement with Lommel-Limburg-based construction company edibo. In doing so, Willy Naessens Group will acquire 100% of edibo's shares.

The construction company edibo with headquarters in Lommel is an established and reputable value in the Belgian Industrial Construction landscape. With offices in Lommel, Fernelmont and Antwerp, edibo is able to complete construction projects all over Belgium. Its team of 130 motivated employees realise an annual turnover of 75 million euro, specialising in the more complex industrial construction sector. In doing so, edibo is able to erect both steel and concrete buildings in the most efficient way.

Current shareholders remain at the helm

The geographical spread as well as the edibo team's in-depth technical knowledge and ability to successfully complete the most complex construction projects were the impetus for Willy Naessens Group to include this company in its group. Indeed, edibo's specialisations are a welcome addition to the existing range of construction projects Willy Naessens can already carry out.
Current shareholders Danny Ulenaers and Dirk Paerewyck will remain on board to continue the day-to-day management of edibo and edibosud respectively.

Belgian Competition Authority approval as the next step

In this way, the Willy Naessens Group is strengthening back to successfully complete an even wider range of construction projects. Given the size of both companies, this transaction is however subject to the prior approval of the Belgian Competition Authority. The transaction cannot be implemented until the Belgian Competition Authority gives its approval, but both companies are confident that this approval will be obtained.
