Project in the spotlights: Lysair Group
Discover how Willy Naessens Industrial Buildings realises a new office building in Sint-Baafs-Vijve for Lysair Group.
Lysair Group
Willy Naessens Industrial Buildings is currently constructing the new office building for Lysair Group.
To maximise employee comfort, large concrete canopies have been incorporated to prevent overheating during the summer months. These pure white canopies give the building a recognisable identity and contribute to the transparency of the façade, reinforcing the impression of a green environment.
In addition, a glass walkway has been installed on the first floor, allowing employees to cross the public thoroughfare safely and undisturbed towards the industrial hall. This contributes to a smooth flow of traffic and optimises productivity, despite the building's quiet and remote location.
The building consists of two parts: a 28-metre-high tower filled with shelving, which will serve as a warehouse for the garments, and a low-rise building that backs onto the tower and houses a lower section where the offices will be located. There will also be loading bays for goods on the right-hand façade, projecting from the existing building. The lower building is around 15 metres high.
Thanks to the expertise of Willy Naessens Industrial Buildings , an industrial construction method was used that allows for an open plan. This allows the building to be arranged flexibly and adapted to future needs and requirements. This not only ensures optimum functionality in the short term, but also offers the possibility for further growth and development in the long term.
